Every summer, the two cultural venues Palace and Grabenhalle in St. Gallen organize the Parkplatzfest (Parking Lot Festival). For this event, the large parking lot between the two buildings is closed for a day and filled with culture. The festival was able to take place again for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic, so the poster had to be bright and eye-catching. The poster was printed with a Risograph to make this possible.
The magazine «Andere-DNA» was created as part of a school project on the theme of opposites. The layout of the magazine is based on the visual representation of a DNA strand in a very fixed grid. In terms of content, it examines the similarities between all humans (DNA) as well as the points that make us all individuals (the other). Portrait photographs are used to represent the individual.
The fontface «Ungebremst» is a headline font that was created as part of a school project. It was inspired by a comic magazine from the 1990s. The main feature of the font is that all the letters are connected, even with the punctuation. This creates a certain dynamism and speed, which is also reflected in the name. Its bold and playful character makes it especially suitable for posters, logos, and other striking applications.
Franz Kafka's «The Metamorphosis» is a literary classic that has been redesigned as part of a school project. The new version contains the story in German and English. The two languages run parallel throughout the book. The cover design is more free-form. Since the book's appearance is never described visually, the cover should also feature an abstract image.
Iris von Roten was a Swiss women's rights activist, author, and lawyer. She played a significant role in the introduction of women's suffrage in Switzerland. The book «Ich bin nicht ihre gute Frau» (I am not your good wife) was an attempt to give a book as much character and emotionality as possible through typography alone. Without any images or color. The typography was designed to reflect the protagonist Iris and her life.
The poster was designed on the occasion of filmpodium in October to November 2025. The theme was Italian horror film director Dario Argento. Accordingly, the poster was also supposed to refer to this. The large image in the center is taken from one of Argento's films. It was complemented with very expressive typography and printed using screen printing.
